CODE OF CONDUCT

We Strongly Believe in Equality

As Billie’s Craft Beer Fest we value diversity and inclusion as part of an inspiring environment.

With BCBF we have always been open to new and different approaches, having guests, volunteers and brewers from numerous countries with many different cultures. Diversity requires careful management to avoid misunderstandings and conflicts and to exploit the full value of diversity. At BCBF  we value and manage diversity through an inclusive environment, since we are convinced that it is critical in helping to drive innovation as well as peoples engagement. The variety in backgrounds, cultures, languages, thoughts and ideas of people helps us to innovate and improve our offer.
Billie’s inclusive culture means that we value the differences in our guests, volunteers and brewers and we actively work to create an environment where all have the ability to share new ideas and ways of working, and realise our full potential.
At Billie’s Craft beer Fest we’re committed to fair and equal treatment of all guests, volunteers and brewers, including equal opportunities. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment at the festival.

There is no acceptance of guests, volunteers or brewers being subjected to offensive, abusive or other unwanted behaviour at BCBF which violates the personal dignity of the victim or creates an intimidating, hostile or humiliating environment for the victim (e.g. physical, sexual, psychological, verbal or any other form of harassment). It is BCBF’s policy to ensure that the behaviour of its guests, volunteers and brewers does not discriminate against anyone on the grounds of gender, age, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, HIV/AIDS infection, citizenship, genetic information, their abilities or any other relevant characteristic protected under the applicable law.
These principles apply to all aspects of Billie’s Craft Beer Fest, such as choosing volunteers, assignments, ...
If we believe that anybody has been subjected to discrimination or harassment, we’ll report this misbehaviour.

At BCBF everyone is expected to:
  • Treat diversity and inclusion as a priority and opportunity to drive innovation as well as to build engagement.
  • Ensure we do not discriminate against anyone.
  • Never engage in any form of harassment.

Diversity is not only a key prerequisite for innovation and engagement, but also a personal and cultural enrichment for each and everyone involved with BCBF.
Be aware that not every bad management style qualifies as a harassment or discrimination in a legal sense. However, if you are discriminated or harassed, you should address your concerns immediately, openly and directly to our “Safe Space Volunteer”.  You can also contact someone of the organisation.
